Please note the following for some of the awards:

  • Nominees for the Fonterra Young New Zealand Rural Sportsperson of the Year must be 21 years of age or under as at 31 January 2021.
  • The Lenvo Contribution to Rural Sports Award is for contribution in the year of the award (2021).
  • The Courtesy Ford Lifetime Legacy Award is for a lengthy commitment to their sport through competing and/or participating in the administration of the association.

CONDITIONS & INFORMATION

Nominees in the Young New Zealander Rural Sportsperson of the Year Award must be 21 years of age or under as at 31 January 2021. The Awards Event recognises sporting achievements in the 2021 calendar year - except for the Lifetime Legacy Award. Nominations close 5pm, 17 January 2022. A judging panel will select the finalists and recipients of each award. The judging panel's decision is final and no correspondence will be entered into. The finalists will be required to attend the awards ceremony at Awapuni on 11 March 2022. Flights and accommodation and ticket will be covered by the generosity of sponsors.
